When you set out on the journey to change your life, inevitably, the planning begins. I am always amazed how many books, articles, reports, and guides take it for granted that everyone knows how to plan. They don’t! You aren’t just planning for this new direction and change in your life, but you are adding it into your current life. No one really explains how to do that.
I believe that planning is more important than goals. This new map of your life becomes a living, dynamic document that is massaged daily and changed often. Its job is to reflect what is changing, where you are headed, and where you currently are standing. It’s your constant GPS. When coaching yourself, you’ll spend a lot of time working on your plan. You’ll be figuring out materials, size, hard copy or digital, etc. Your plan isn’t your schedule. When you begin actually walking the plan it goes into the time management part. The plan is the big picture of how to get from here to there. You will find yourself taking detours, adding new stops, and finding quicker paths based on how your life is changing. Your life plan must change with your life, otherwise, it isn’t really a plan.
What you get here is a basic thumbnail sketch, tips, and tricks to get your planning started.
